Original Tan vs Rapid Tan

The Original tan is a tan for the client that has 8-12 hours that they can dedicate to the post tan rules and recommendations for a flawless tan to develop. Please read the post care instructions carefully to ensure you are able to follow the rules!

The Rapid tan is for the client that is looking to shower within a 2-8 hours. The length of time will be determined by myself and the client based on desired result.

How do I prepare for my custom sunless tan?

The day before your appointment; shower and exfoliate with an oil-free product. If you have dry skin, make sure to moisturize today because you will not be able to apply any lotion on the day of your appointment. Make sure to shave and take care of any other hair removal wanted at least 24 hours before your appointment. If you need a waxing appointment, I’ve got you covered-BOOK NOW! It is recommended that pedicures and manicures are done prior to the appointment at least 24hrs prior. The day of your appointment; for best results, shower and exfoliate with an exfoliating cloth which can be purchased at the studio. Remove all other self-tanners, make-up, perfume, deodorant and oils. Wear or bring loose, dark clothing and flip-flops to your appointment.

What should I expect upon arrival?

Prior to the appointment, there will be a few forms with information that will need to be completed. As a trained tanning consultant, I will begin your appointment with a color consultation to determine the perfect solution for your skin tone, based on your personal preference, skin type and lifestyle.

How long does it take?

The whole process takes about 20 minutes from the time we begin to the time we finish.

Who applies it?

I am a certified trained sunless tanning specialist and I will use an airbrush technique to give you flawless and safe tanning results.

Will I turn orange?

No, of course not! The custom solutions are designed to provide natural and conservative results for all skin types. I have the ability to mix multiple shades with chemical-free solutions, none of which are orange! Don't forget, this is custom and all natural!

What do I wear?

Ultimately, this is the decision of the client. You may undress to your comfort level. Any clothing you choose to wear during the session (undergarments/bathing suit) can simply be laundered once in a normal cycle to remove the solution. No staining! After the application, all clients should wear loose clothing, black is best, and flip-flop type footwear or loose shoes depending on weather. If you plan to allow your tan to develop overnight then we suggest wearing a long sleeve top and long pants to bed, in order to avoid skin-to-skin contact. Please be prepared if it is raining or snowing.

How do I maintain my sunless tan?

Do not allow your skin to come in contact with any water or product until your tan has fully developed (this will depend on which solution you had applied and your tanning consultant will inform you. This means no make-up, moisturizer, and no activities that will cause you to sweat until after your first shower. Ask yourself, will this cause friction or moisture on the skin? If yes, avoid until after showering. When you shower, please avoid bar soaps, exfoliants and oil-based products. After your first shower use water based moisturizer. Keeping your skin moisturized will mean longer lasting results and more natural, even fading.

How long does the tan last?

With the proper skincare before and after your application, your results will typically last 7-10 days. Your skin should stay moisturized and avoid products with harsh chemicals, exfoliants and heavy oils. This will help the tan last as long as possible. Using these recommended products will not only provide longer lasting results, but also more natural and even fading.

All of the products recommended can be purchased at the studio during your appointment.
